I'm a belgian amateur cyclist suffering of ankylosing spondylitis. In the context of spondylitis, sport or at least physical activity is considered essential. The longer we stay in motion, the slower the progression of the disease. My goal is to promote sport, physical activity and cycling in particular as a supplement to therapy. Each year a cycle more than 8.000 km and achieve long distance challenges. I cycle to raise funds for the CLAIR.be association helping people with inflammatory rheumatic diseases.
I train over long distances and often in the mountains. I am reassured to know that in the event of an accident, my family will be able to be notified using the contact details on my bracelet. Being sick and having a specific treatment, the data can help the emergency services.
